Bought this mouthpiece as I play in all of the band classes at my school. It is great for helping me reach higher notes that I would have had to strain to hit when using a 12C beforehand. It also works great for my jazz playing, and I would say that it gives me a clearer sound. This was also highly recommended by my director and another trombone player in the band who said it played very well. Came undamaged and was packaged very safely, it also came spotless lol. Just keep in mind your embouchure will have to re-adjust to this mouthpiece, so don't play it expecting immediate results. But if you're looking to work and improve your sound and range, this is a perfect all-rounder for low and high notes.

Amazing mouthpiece! I've been learning trombone for about 1.5 years and tried a 12C, Yamaha 48, Blessing 6.5AL. The Blessing was the best pales in comparison to the Denis Wick 6BS. The responses is wonderful. Great in the high and low range. Comfortable on the face and I'm able to practice for much longer.I'm pairing it with a King 606 and love it!

Like all Dennis Wick products, it is well made and well priced. However, this fact does not make it suitable for everyone , as mouthpieces, like shoes , must fit the individual. I work a lot with the Bach 61/2 Al series , size wise---which in the world of mouthpieces has become a generic reference number. It is a versatile, middle of the road size that will give good results in all registers. However, the "Wick" version's rim is somewhat too narrow for this size mouthpiece. All other versions that I own and use have wider more comfortable rims (for me ). Mouthpieces are very personal when it comes to fit , comfort and flexibility , so if you're going to try this model , be aware of the narrower rim. As to tone and clarity, it delivers as advertised as all Wick mouthpieces do.

My son just started euphonium in band. The mouthpiece provided was just not right. As a former professional tuba and euphonium player, I knew how the horn should blow and what the sound should be. This is the first Wick mouthpiece I’ve chosen after research, and boy it hits the mark. My son’s sound quickly filled out, and the mid to low register is open and warm as a euphonium should be.

I started playing again after many years and I've tried a lot of mouthpieces trying to find the right one. This mouthpiece is similar to the 6 1/2 AL size that I like, but is much more comfortable. I have read that Dennis Wick strives to design mouthpieces with rim comfort in mind. Brass playing can be painful sometimes but I'm very happy with the comfort of this mouthpiece. Also very happy with the sound I'm getting out of my horn! Everyone is different, but I highly recommend!!

This mouthpiece made a huge difference to my pBone trombone. Much better than the plastic one that comes with the pBone. I'm a beginner and I bought this because I felt the plastic mouthpiece wasn't ideal. I'm glad that I got this as it makes the pBone feel and sound more legit.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

The product was received by my mother in law, therefore I wasn't able to check it properly until she brought it to Argentina (where I live). Not only the mouthpiece wasn't the one I ordered, but also it's not even for the music instrument I needed it.What makes this even worse and unacceptable is the fact that the box of the product was right. The seller put a random mouthpiece inside the box of the mouthpiece I actually ordered.I know Amazon's policy doesn't consider complaints after 30 days of the delivery, but I received the product after that period of time and I didn't have any way of knowing the product was not at all what I bought. It would be a descent thing to do to return me the money, or at least send me the proper mouthpiece (a trombone mouthpiece)Regards.Ignacio Gaytan
