One of these arrived bent, it's pot metal so it can't be adjusted. Also not deep enough for the pommel and cross-guard or rifle buttstock. Overall disappointed. Definitely not designed for pistols as ad mentions.

I bought a pair of these beautiful mounts to display a rapier that I brought back from Toledo, Spain a few years ago and thought they were perfect. When I brought a parrying dagger an my most recent visit to Spain, I was happy to discover that matching mounts were still available. I think that they compliment the craftsmanship of Toledo’s legendary weapons.

Spring action on hangers works great. The blue background behind the lion was way too dark, so I painted it a lighter blue. (The Amazon photo pictured it lighter.) Nevertheless, I'm happy with my purchase.

These are not huge, but adequately sized for a normal sized weapon, or fish pole. If you were to attempt to hang a Barrett .50 cal on the wall, you are probably going to be disappointed - I don't think they're big enough. However, for my little Henry Model 001 it was perfect. These mounts are a little gaudy what with the shiny gold color and blue highlights which was perfect for hanging over the fireplace - they should be gaudy. These are cheaply made in Spain, not China, so you aren't helping the communists take over the world buying them. Overall I am very satisfied with the products and the shipping was faster than Amazon said it would be, as well. The best part is that if I ever need the little pest gun it's just right there on the wall waiting for the evil skunk to trundle into my yard and while I'm waiting on that evil skunk it doesn't look half bad hanging above the fireplace. Enjoy.

I used these hangers to hold a muzzle loader rifle in my den. The castings are better than expected. They are a bit smaller than I expected, but they worked out just fine. Everyone who comes into my home office comments on how classy my "man cave" is and how great the rifle looks on the wall.I rarely take time to include pictures, but I thought it would be helpful to see the end product. As mentioned, smaller than expected, but the size actually works out fine. They are small enough that some guns (like a side by side shotgun wouldn't work.I also mounted little felt pads to help avoid scratches. I am super pleased and highly recommend these as a "best buy" solution for hanging a sword, rifle, muzzle loader or pistol.

I bought 2 sets of these to hang a replica LOTR sword and axe. The shields are of great quality and add a beautiful finishing touch to the mounted sword and axe. The hangers arrived with the requisite hardware, including screw anchors. They were easy to install. Also, I could not believe that I placed the order in the evening on a Saturday, and it arrived on Sunday!
