Your cart is empty. When driven at a moderate to hard pace the 2015-2016 Corvettes can overheat the engine oil causing the ECM to reduce power. DEI has come up with a simple but effective solution. Chevrolet located the engine oil cooler and oil filter close to the driver side catalytic converter. This causes thermal heat transfer that raises the oil temperature above the safe operating limit. By installing the DEI converter heat shield, you can block this heat transfer from happening and prevent the oil temperature from rising.

This thing made my exhaust hotter. I know this because I put it on my Triumph Scrambler exhaust which comes equipped with a heat shield since the rider's leg rests on it. I installed the stock heat shield over the DEI wrap which should've been double protection. It was cooler outside the day after installation than it was the day before. The day before installation the exhaust was hot on my leg. The day after it felt like my riding jeans were going to melt. No thanks.

Installed on 2016 Corvette Z06 and the oil temp is the same and sometimes higher than the engine temp. I installed it correctly and was expecting a bigger difference in oil temp.

This is a nice custom item. Easy to fit and does the job well. But on the downside, the tool and the fittings are not great. It is very easy to overtighten the clasps and they snap immediately. And it is quite loose on the cat as well. I would expect something as a crucial part to stay in place, because if it falls off can give us drivers a really bad day. Mine is still on, so can't complain.

I had a slightly different use for this, using it to shield a CV boot from being cooked by a hi-flow cat on my Subaru. For all intents & purposes, it worked out great! However, upon unboxing, I realized all of the stand-offs were riveted on in the wrong orientation, as if I were to use it to shield one side of a longer, thinner pipe, like a motorcycle exhaust. To get it to work, I had to twist (force) all of the riveted stand-offs 90° to properly wrap around the cat. Strange issue & I probably would have exchanged it if I weren’t in a time crunch to install the downpipe.

Very easy to install, I used a needle nose plier to tighten it. My application was on a Civic, the OEM heat shield doesn't cover the rear of the cat so it would soak heat into the engine and intake but this shield stops most of that heat so now the engine runs smoother and my intake doesn't get hot anymore

This actually made a substantial difference for me on my 2015 manual Z06. I feel like it dropped my temps by about 30 degrees
