I was looking for a stocking design to make for my grandson or granddaughter and came across this one. I have fallen in love with making this style of stocking. It's fun to get everything cut out, great instructions and fun to make!

This kit was fun to make. I would like to make several more. I have 5 great grand children . Will make one for each child. Easy to put together, like a puzzle. Thank you

I don't normally write reviews, especially long ones but I couldn't resist on this one. I wanted to first say that I have never completed any type of felt projects, especially stockings. That being said, I do categorize myself as an experienced crafter. Anywhere from personalized diaper cakes or cross-stitching to home decor, painting, etc. After reading the reviews for this brand, I was hesitant to purchase.....but due to needing to buy 5 of them (replacing stockings that were over 18 years old that were destroyed in a fire), I went ahead and gave it a shot to help with the cost (cheaper than other brands).I have not yet completed it but I will say that it is challenging. The directions provided are extremely vague and it appears there is a page missing (one double sided page that shows 1/3 and 2/3, where is page 3?). There was nothing provided regarding lettering or any type of diagram/image to guide you through the project. Although the kit does provide majority of the materials needed to complete, it does not come with everything (see below in my suggestions for what is additionally needed).Lastly, there are a minimal amount of printed images on the felt. Almost 80% of the pieces require the pattern to first be cut out of paper, pinned to the correct color felt, then cut. This process could be considered difficult to some, I personally did not. I did however find it extremely tedious & time consuming. I feel this is the step that is added to allow the lower price of the kit (as if the company saved money by not having all pieces pre-printed).Overall, I do agree with the other reviews...this kit is NOT for a beginner crafter. I personally have been able to work on it only because of my wide range of knowledge and skills in the "crafting world". I can understand why some would rate this kit 1-3 stars but for me, I'm giving it 4. So far, I have enjoyed the challenge and it's nice to try something new.I will try to update my review once I complete it and can give more feedback. Until then, if you are interested in taking on this stocking project, I suggest the following for this kit:Materials not included:- Push pins / push-pin holder- Fiberfill or cotton stuffing- Gift tissue paper (white)- Paper, printer and internet access- Tape and scissors- Organizer- Plastic bags (sandwich, gallon sized, etc.)Suggestions -1) Keep all materials organized - there are a lot of peices to the stocking that are provided, including small beads and sequence. I purchased mine (pictured) at the dollar store for under $2. I also got the smaller plastic containers to hold the beads/sequence for $1. Then, depending on where you stop when cutting out the different patterns, be sure to label the felt after cutting (save the pattern itself in case you need to reference it).2) Personalizing - the kit didn't come with anything regarding lettering. Per the instructions, all it says is to use dressmaker's carbon or a water erasable marker. I simply printed out font I liked, traced it to tissue paper, pinned the tissue paper to the stocking and sewed.3) Be sure the scissors you use to cut the felt are sharp! The felt provided is enough for the patterns only, not extra. If a mistake is made with the pattern, you will need to get additional felt. Since the stocking is pre-printed, the smallest error in a cut can throw the entire design off.Hopefully this review helps at least one person!

Christmas present

Returned. The felt pieces did not have the pattern printed on them. Too many small pieces to figure out where they went. Going back to Bucilla stockings.

My daughter (8 months) picked it out from several designs. I am making now and it is super cute! Can't wait for it to be finished for Christmas :)

I'm still putting this stocking together but I have no complaints. I have put together a couple from this brand before so I knew what I was in for before I started. It's easy enough to understand. Some of the pieces are already stamped onto the felt. Usually on the lighter colors like white and tan. The other pieces are on paper and need to be cut out, traced onto the felt and cut out again. I don't mind the extra step. Like I said I have not finished this one yet, but these stockings always come out beautiful.
