Well, I think it's good. It is exactly the same size, shape, and weight as the original battery. Swapping the new one in was a cinch. The new battery even came with a little screw driver to remove the 3 little screws. No problems there.The first battery I received didn't work. After fully charging it, it worked for about 9 minutes, got SUPER hot, then quit working. I sent it back, they replaced it quickly, no big problems really.The second one seems to be working with some things that may or may not be related to the battery. For instance, with the new battery, when I first pull the trigger, it doesn't start right away. It doesn't pause long, maybe .5 - 1.5 seconds, then it starts and runs fine. Weird. Maybe that's the vacuum and not the battery, but I never noticed that before I switched batteries.Next, when I let go of the trigger, sometimes it won't start again. I pull the trigger and the light on the battery flashes red, but the motor won't start no matter how many times I try. It doesn't happen every time, but it has happened multiple times. But, if I disconnect the hose with the power head on the end, then it starts right up. Click the tube back in place, and I'm back in business (until the next time it happens).I don't know if that's A battery issue, or a problem with my vacuum, but it never happened before.Battery life seems to be good, but I doubt the 8.0 Ah claim. It does run for about 20 min. on max, and much longer on regular, so I feel like that's pretty good.All in all, I think it's working and I think the battery life is good. If your battery is dead, then this battery is much cheaper than buying a whole new vacuum. But I am having some weird gremlins which may or may not be related.

This battery was great for the first few days, but then it stopped working properly. It fit my V8 Dyson perfectly and worked like an OEM battery, but it eventually started having issues with turning on the vacuum. When I press the button to turn on the vacuum, it only works maybe 25% of the time, even though it was on charge all night. I'm going to switch back to the Dewalt battery adaptor.

Our Dyson V8 batteries ran out and the warranty expired. We didn't want to spend a fortune on expensive Dyson batteries for our old vacuum cleaner. I bought this compatible battery. It was no trouble to install. It lasts a long time after each charge. I am loving it so far!
