Started leaking after 2 years. Called for the warranty, was denied. Claimed that original replaced part was never shipped back to them, although I recall having done so. So much for the "lifetime warranty". Will go out of my way to purchase from a different company this time, now that I need a new rack and pinion.

I successfully installed this steering rack and pinion set a few months after my OEM keeled over on me. The product arrived in as-described condition with no packaging issues. I was very pleased with the price and the fact that I didn't have to mess with a core charge like many other online and mainstream auto part stores had. I just needed a good quality product fast in order to get my daily commuter back on the road.Wanted to wait and write an official review for it after I had it in for a little while in order to make sure nothing was wrong with the part. As far as I am concerned, Detroit Axle has done its job in producing a good quality part. If you are in a tight and want to save some money while getting a good value, I would recommend this product from Detroit Axel.

rack is good,shipping was fast and good both ways,......problem with the rack it has 2 lines & 1 fitting which require o-rings to prevent power steering leaks,..these did not come with the rack,...I had to hunt around to get the proper /correct type,...I would think some people would use the old o-rings which may cause a leak later on,.....suggestion include these o-rings,....You may have racks returned for nothing other then a old o-ring that went bad,...that would be a waste of money,shipping.work etc for all...hankshank3@aol.com
