This dress Diaz Masonary bed is perfect for 3/4 PVC pipe. We areElectrical contractors so it’s for electrical conduit or really any other conduit or a hole you need to make. I was surprised how quicklyIt went thru the 8” solid concrete block!

I needed a larger diameter (1-1/8") Bit to drill through brick. I don't have an SDS drill. I took a chance to use it with a Makita cordless hammer drill. It worked well, but obviously not as good as an SDS drill. I wouldn't want to use it for more than a few holes trying to penetrate concrete, I'd be there all day. This drill bit is designed for an SDS drill, but I only needed 4 holes drilled all the way through standard Modular brick measuring at 3-5/8" thick by 2-1/4" high and 7-5/8" long. So to sum it up, I drilled 4 holes through a depth of 3-5/8" It wasn't easy, but I did it. One thing to note, when chucking the bit in, you have to line it up in the chuck just right, otherwise it really wobbles. But it can be done.

Does not start cutting easily. Made a mess of my brick before it grabbed and started to drill. Didn't give me a clean hole.

Great bit. It makes easy work through brick and concrete. I use it for running gas lines from inside/outside to outside/inside.

Wow! Easily made perfect circles for the pool gate sleeves in seconds! Cut right thru 2.5 in thick pavers AND the concrete footer below. Only took about 15 seconds with a large hammer/rotary drill. Very impressive. Highly recommend.

Saved me lots of money not having to buy an SDS Max drill and bits to finish the job of drilling a hole for two dust proof strikes for cane bolts on a custom metal fence. I will admit that in order to drill safely, you should be using the heavy duty style SDS rotary hammer and not the smaller longer ones. This bit bites hard and will easily come out of your grip even on the most experienced user because of the double and not quad cutting head.

It might be related to the power for drills using this type shank but it takes forever to drill in bedrock. I gave up after about 2inches. I also accidentally bought x2 of these so now I’ve got two neat paperweights. I’d guess it might work well in something easier like concrete.

I got this for one job - use with a new hammer drill to make a hole in a fountain to run a new electrical connection. The old one had 120V line literally run in to the bottom of the fountain and secured with a (leaking) supposedly watertight connection. Glad I got rid of that before something bad happened! I used this drill to provide another hole for a safe 12 V line. It worked like a champ through about 16 inches of solid stone (I used it from one side then the other - fortunately was able to "hit the target" and line the holes up. After use, the thing still looks pretty new and I suspect if I need to use it again it will continue to work well.

Obviously when you start getting into the larger SDS style bits its hard to find the "Plus" series in the larger sizes as they usually become SDS Max size collets which is totally understandable. If you have a high quality SDS Plus drill, you can get away with larger bits. This is one of the larger style SDS Plus bits I could find that works perfect for running 3/4" conduit thru concrete with a little room to spare.Definitely a quality bit, and will last a lifetime.

I was a little worried about this item since it is so much cheaper than other brands selling the same thing. Either I lucked out or they overcharge (or both). Worked great so far. I've used it to drill 10-15 holes ~ 6 - 8" deep and so far so good. Still cutting through the concrete like it did when I first got it. As for durability, I'll have to revisit this review if it doesn't last very long but it's going quite well thus far.

This thing is one heavy duty beast of a bit. It is well made and I expect to drill many more holes with it during its lifetime. The only downside of it has nothing to do with its construction, and everything to do with its size: this bit requires a serious hammer drill behind it if you want to get thru concrete more quickly. A regular Bulldog Xtreme drill will easily get you thru brick and block with no problem, but be prepared to spend a little more time than you do with a 1/2" bit when drilling thru poured concrete. If you need to do it often, it's probably worth picking up a heftier hammer drill. Aside from the physics associated with cutting thru a lot of material, this is a great product.
