I like these better than the last set I used which broke (unknown brand). These seem to be much better made and are working better.

I didn't notice when I was ordering, as all I confirmed was a hex head, but these are appropriate for both a hex head attachment and round chucks as well. Nice and sturdy, very sharp. Expect quality from Dewalt - and got it!

Excellent quality at a great price. Much easier to use due to the hex base as opposed to a standard drill bit because you don't have to open and close the chuck. Worth the money.

Like others, I have had problems with the join between hexagonal end and drill bit. Drilling into wood, the smaller bits detached and were left embedded in the wood. These are only as good as their weakest part, plus they take forever to arrive from the USA. Not worth the wait.

I have used these bits several times during our home renovations. They work well and do what the yard supposed to. I have deducted one star because these hex shank drill bits are quite expensive compared to standard drill bits.

I've had these for about 2 years, and they just rattle around in a box with the rest of my quarter inch hex shank bits (among other drill bits, hole saws, and screw driver bits), since they come with no storage container (they arrive just vacuum-sucked to a paper card). That's ok though, and they're still spinning strong, making holes in whatever I shove them through. Mostly I'm drilling bare wood, or wood studs behind drywall, but I've gone through some thin sheet metal (shrouds for fluorescent lights) too, and didn't have any problem with that.I use them with a Makita TDO90DWZ, which is actually not meant to be a drill. It's an impact driver (aka electric screwdriver with OOMF), but since it accepts quarter inch hex shanks, I figured it'd be fine drilling some holes too. I figured right. Through drywall it spins like an electric drill just fine, and then when it hits wood the impact hammers kick in. It makes a heck of a racket, but the bit turns, and a hole is drilled. I mention the [misuse of the] tool because I would understand if a drill bit was designed to turn smoothly but not be able to handle the jarring hammers of an impact driver. But I'm pleasantly surprised to report that these bits don't give a rat's bum how they're being turned.
