This remote control and switch set has a nice design and appears well-made. It is rated 15A, 125VAC, and 1875W, but as a general rule, devices rated at 15A should not be used at full capacity for extended periods. A safe operating margin is typically 20–30% below the rated amperage, meaning loads should ideally not exceed 12A.The advertised 100-foot remote range is misleading. In real-world testing, I measured the range using a laser tool while standing outside, with my wife assisting inside via phone. The remote and receiver were separated by a double wooden door and a wall with a 58.5-inch opening. The remote functioned only up to 82 feet (20 feet indoors + 62 feet outdoors), which is still a respectable distance.This product is FCC-certified (Federal Communications Commission), which ensures that its radio frequency does not cause harmful interference. However, the FCC does not regulate electrical safety, meaning this item has no certification confirming it is safe for use.The fact that this product has an FCC certification indicates the manufacturer values regulatory approvals. This raises an important question: Why did they not seek an electrical safety certification? Did it fail testing, or did they simply choose not to apply? If the latter, then why?My main concern is the lack of any mention of electrical safety certifications. While the risk of using uncertified electrical products may not always be high, why take the chance? Before purchasing, consumers should check for certifications from recognized safety organizations, such as:• CCC (China Compulsory Certification)• CE (Conformité Européenne)• CQC (China Quality Certification)• CSA (Canadian Standards Association)• ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories)• IC (Industry Canada)• IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission)• PSE (Product Safety Electrical Appliance & Material)• TÜV Rheinland Certification• UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed)• UL (Underwriters Laboratories)Although electrical products sold in the U.S. are not always required to have safety certifications, compliance with established safety standards is crucial for consumer trust and legal liability. With increasing access to information, consumers are becoming more informed and less willing to take risks with uncertified products.As a retired aerospace and avionics electrical engineer, I do not recommend electrical products that lack independent safety certifications. If the manufacturer can provide proof of certification from a reputable organization, I will update my review accordingly.

I bought this to replace a similar unit which stopped working (the remote quit sending the 'on' signal). I assumed these would work the same but WOW was i surprised - they work waaay better. Now instead of having to stand on my tip toes to try to point the remote at the receiver plug, i can literally stand anywhere facing any direction and it goes on without hesitation. I wasn't expecting it to be so great - and not to mention the fact that it came with TWO controllers which makes me super happy to have a backup. I literally couldn't be any more pleased!

Works fine. Sometimes have to aim the controller at the socket.Having 2 remotes is great, like having a 2 way switch

Great addition to my shop dust collection. I have my dust collector plugged into this and have a remote on a magnetic hook hanging on the two tools I swap the collector hose between. Easy to use even if I forget to turn it on and am in the middle of a cut and notice the dust piling up

Sucked quit working on the second night .. nothing 😕 change the batteries hit the little on/off switch on the adapter that you plug in nothing So I just threw it all out and I will never be so naive again

Works great, I have it set up to turn on my bedroom lamp since my room is pretty big and the light switch is in a weird location so it's inconvenient sometimes to turn on the bedroom lights. The remote controls work great and turn on the lamp even when I'm at the bend between the entrance of the house and the entrance of my room which is about 30 ft away. 5 stars
