Excellent futon mattress! Went back and bought a second one for custom Amish furniture. Love that it is flippable and the comfort level is great. In a futon when you lie down with it in the couch position it feels like you are a human hot dog in a bun. It folds nicely for the couch position of the futon. Would recommend getting a non-skid pad to put underneath it to keep you from having to adjust it. Very functional for what it was designed for!For pocketed coils and flippable design, not requiring a mattress base, it is an excellent value! It is also nice to have an 8 in thick mattress instead of the standard 6 in as an option. Definitely worth spending a little more for the two extra inches! My recommendation to make it easy to clean is to pair it with a mattress protector and add a cover on top. Expecting to get years of use; highly recommend!Note that it does come with t-style gathers instead of buttons. Not an issue when you are putting an additional protector and cover, but be aware.

I had a previous version of this same model of mattress and it exceeded my expectations, hence ordering from the same company again. Unfortunately this newer product has a significant decline in quality. The foam padding seems to have decreased in quantity, making the springs far more noticeable. Sitting feels far less buoyant than the prior version. Where there used to be stitching, there are now plastic tabs. I had recommended the previous version to others, but I cannot do the same for this one.

Si c'est pour faire un divan. Oublié se matelas. Une fois plié avec les ressorts, le divan est plein de bosse. Le matelas pour dormir est super inconfortable, les ressorts s'applatissent tous car il sont trop mous et on s'enfonce dans le matelas a travers les ressorts.

It does the job… Good for an extra bed for a friend sleepover, but would not use on a regular basis for a couch. Kind of bumpy and you can feel the springs through it.

If you're buying this as a main sleeper sofa or previously purchased the DHP 8" futon that is no longer available, this is a major downgrade. I bought my last futon from DHP and I was so happy with it, that when it was time to upgrade I chose to go with the same one, only that specific mattress is no longer available. I searched around and came to the conclusion that this was the next best thing. I was wrong. Out of the box, the fabric is cheap, it doesn't look or feel nice. The mattress has these wrinkles throughout, I thought they'd flatten out as it gained its shape, but they only got worse. When you fold it up into sofa mode, forget the wrinkles, you now have these atrocious lumps. The futon isnt comfortable to sleep on, it isn't firm or even medium firm as it's described. On the first night, it wasnt so bad, but I started to notice some issues the more I slept on it. I found myself tossing and turning and when I woke up one morning, my lower back was stiff. Overall it's not worth it for the price point. Very lackluster design. Not sure how they went to the previous incarnation to this...

A very functional futon mattress in all general ways. reversible and a nice neutral color. The mattress is both supportive and soft. Certainly better than our old one where we could feel the springs. That is not the case with this mattress. You cannot feel the springs and the mattress has even support distribution rather than pockets. Very good quality. The cover is not removable but the design is very sleek and modern.

I love the comfort of this mattress. Most futons are, let's face it, dead uncomfortable. They feel like they're stuffed with cotton rope, and heavy heavy heavy. This mattress feels a bit like a futon, and a bit like a regular spring mattress, a true hybrid sort of feel. So despite being not that thick, it does provide really good support. I do like a more firm experience when sleeping, but some futon mattresses are packed so tightly and heavily that crosses the line – so firm it almost feels like you're camping on dirt 😀 this is firm without being cruel. I've got it placed on an open futon frame on my deck, with a bed tent over it. I put a mattress topper on the surface of it, and it feels like Glamping on my balcony. It will work fantastically as a sofa too when I feel like closing the frame.The color is nice, especially for tan which wasn't my first choice. It has a nice weave and texture to it, the fabric feeling very durable and even possibly resistant to use and the elements Very happy with this mattress!

Perfect fit with the frame we bought. Is attractive, comfortable and durable. We love resting on it and dogs find it a great sleeping bed. They are Bichon Frise so no hair left on mattress.
