Got this for a different martial arts training than boxing (I'm actually using it to practice tip control and targeting for sword and spear fighting, using blunted practice weapons) but it's really the same skill set: response time. This is a great tool for training your attention, reaction speed and accuracy in targeting. It's quick and easy to pair the speaker with a phone and play your own music.I noticed that some reviews said it wasn't loud enough. The one I got is plenty loud! Maybe they were using it in a crowded gym, not at home. I've got the volume turned down below halfway and can still hear it perfectly, using it outdoors. The volume control buttons took a moment to figure out but they're easy to use once you know which ones they are.The instructions are in pretty rough En-grish and I wish they provided a list of the pre-programmed training patterns. I also wish the lights paired up with the music!! I thought that's what it did, when I ordered it, but sadly the light patterns don't seem to sync with the rhythm at all. It's still a good trainer, but not quite as motivating.I found this easy to hang in a covered porch area. It comes with velcro to hang it but I don't plan to use that--I prefer the stability of screws. Used the screws they included and they did ok; they're cheap but did the job. All in all, pretty easy setup and fun training tool.

I recently got my hands on the Music Boxing Machine, and let me tell you, it's been quite the addition to my home! This wall-mounted trainer is like having a personal trainer who’s always ready to throw down—no waiting for a gym buddy!First off, the 9 modes and 9 speeds? Genius! It feels like choosing your own adventure but with boxing gloves. Whether I'm in the mood for a light workout or a full-throttle beatdown, this thing has got me covered. I can finally channel my inner Rocky without having to run up any stairs (thank goodness for small favors). The music feature is a total game changer, too. Punching while jamming out to some tunes makes it feel less like exercising and more like I'm in an action movie montage—cue the slow-mo shots of me sweating like a champ! The gloves that come with it are surprisingly comfy, which I didn’t expect. I mean, I don’t think they’ll turn me into a professional boxer overnight, but at least they’re not slicing my hands to bits. Now, if you’re wondering about stress relief, oh boy! There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking out your day’s frustrations on a machine. After a tough day at work or when the Wi-Fi is down (the horror!), I just take it out on this little contraption, and boom, instant mood booster! The only small hiccup is that it requires a bit of wall space, so if you live in a shoebox apartment, you might have to get creative. But honestly? It’s worth it. If you’re looking for a fun way to stay active at home, I recommend giving this boxing machine a shot! Just remember, no throwing punches at your cat, even if she’s looking at you funny. Happy punching!

Made of plastic and powered by USB-C to charge the build quality seems okay so far. However, after a week or so of using it isn't enough to determine how long a plastic item such as this will handle. Then again if made of metal you would get your fists busted up more on the misses. The speakers are not all that great in the unit and while it does allow you to play your music through the unit you are better off playing with the lighting method with sound turned off and your headphones in your ears. Getting the rhythm down on your own to match up with the various "play" modes. The gloves that come with it are rather cheap, but good enough to know whether you should buy better ones if you are getting into boxing. Would be great for a beginneer to learn to control punches and their direction and speed up over time. It can be fun to use if you have a hankering for beating the wall with this on it! :D It functions pretty darn well and has several decent settings and speeds. Though at the price of the time this was listed it's a toss up match between LOTS of other contenders for your money. Then again you would need to read up a lot on just how many of these types of units exist. This one also manages to balance and soften the blows to the wall, and mounts in the exact wide of a 2x4 so the center of mass would be more on the support structure of your home rather than on the sheetrock, but if you miss one really hard hit you might go through the sheetrock and have a nice hole in the wall. So would considering additional support if you are really getting into the feel for this machine, and provide additional support for the entire surface of the boxing trainer. It's also a great size and doesn't take up a lot of pace on the wall so you can concentrate your blows.

The only way to mount this is with sticky tape on the back. You hit it a couple times and it falls off the wall. Not cool. Should have a better way to mount something that is being punched.
