This is the 3/4HP Cooler Motor.Evaporative Cooler Motor Generally Come in 3 Sizes (Bigger is generally better in all but the smallest coolers);~ 1/3HP~ 1/2HP~ 3/4HP (This is the 3/4HP Motor)I have used this brand motor many times and they work good. Cooler motor life expectancy should be 6-10 years.An Evaporative "Swamp" Cooler is a very simple device. Your cooling power will be determined by the amount of water you can evaporate. The more air you move across the water saturated pads, the cooler your air will be. Therefore a bigger motor is a good upgrade in most situations. Unless you have a very small cooler that has a 1/3HP motor installed going with a stronger motor will be an upgrade (although it will consume more energy).
