Mortar Rakes that are 7.2mm in diameter and have a workable depth of 74mm. The rake is coated in 'diamond' embedded particles and can be used in any drill, battery or mains powered.The average perp / bed of a brick wall will have approx a 10mm joint so the 7.2mm width of these allow you a bit of wiggle room to prevent touching the brick itself.The rake works well with a lime mortar which is a little softer than a sand / cement mix and makes short work of the joint. I haven't tried them on sand/cement mortar but would imagine they might struggle a little and would benefit from the bed being worked on with an angle grinder first.A decent enough mortar rake - 4 stars.

I found these to have a nice crisp feel to them. I was surprised with the length but then realised they don't want to be shorter as my screwdriver would be too close to the wall. I've ordered these to put the design back in some render I want to patch. I don't have a drill that takes a cylindrical shaft, but I'd definitely order these in SDS or hex for bigger jobs as I like the quality.
