It protects and beautifies metal, aluminum, steel, and previously coated RV roofs. Dicor elastomeric RV roof Coating is formulated with 100% acrylic elastomeric resins to form a rubber-like coating that will expand and contract with the roof movement. This tape is excellent for its intended purpose. It covers seams on your rv roof just like eternabond tape - I am guessing the adhesive is very similar or the same - and once it is in place you have to work to remove it so be prepared. The external surface is fibrous and accepts and holds the new coating/sealant you are putting on your roof. I put 1-star for "easy to remove" because it is not, but that is an advantage - it is what the tape was designed to do. If you read other reviews, there are those who give this low reviews because it is somewhat difficult to install. Compared to the above mentioned eternabond tape etc...it is a much thinner product as it is designed to be placed on the bare roof and then covered with a new coating; whereas the eternabond tape already has the exterior coating already as part of the tape so it is much stiffer- but that coating is slick and does not hold a new sealant very well. But since this tape is thinner it also will fold upon itself much easier and if the adhesive side of the tape comes in contact with anything, especially itself, it adheres immediately and quite strongly! Good luck on getting it apart. I ended up losing several feet of this material as a result of that happening, but I do not find it to be a fault of the material. You just need to pay very close attention to the installation and plan well ahead and this stuff doe the job it is intended to do very well!!

As close to useless as you can get, release film doesn’t release without destroying product ! Luckily I had a roll of eterna bond to use on my termination strips with vinyl top that had been in camper for six years that worked great still.I wanted this product so the dicor metal roof paint would coat it and to put around 3 vents after trying on small patches and a termination strip I gave up ! I was in the shade in shed so I didn’t overheat it. I would strongly recommend not buying this unless you like frustration and a big hassle not to mention wasted money!

Whole new roof on our new RV. I hit a tree branch and scratched the new RV roof. It barely scratched the elastomeric barrier, but we had water leaking ... We used this tape all around the perimeter of our existing roof. See YouTube for vids. Then we painted right over it with the Dicor EVPM stuff. It was an expensive project, but this stuff was amazing. It's easier to work with if you have two people. I worked from a ladder while my wife worked on the top of the RV all the way around.

I got the tape on my metal horse trailer seams just before our winter rain/ice/snow storms. Had no time to put on the Dicor metal coating or to tarp it. After a dry spell I went to check on it. IT WORKED! It was dry inside. No leaks from the seams!

Make sure you buy enough! I ran out and bought some of the Ames brand locally to finish my roof reseal on my Skoolie. The Dicor brand is FAR superior.

I have used this tape before on my trailer roof with good results providing you use a good paint with rubber in it.

Great product adheres well to my EDPM roof. Great for reenforcing the edge of the roof seams where they meet the walls. Be warned this is a two person job to apply. Also line it up well prior to sticking it in place because once it bonds it’s difficult to reposition and it bonds very well.

The masking peel could be a little thicker to make it easier to remove. This tape is super sticky so care has to be taken when installing, it is very strong. Great for sealing seams. You have to use a roof coating over this tape to seal it. Dicor products are very good.

I did not realize this for roof use and expected to be over-coated with the usual sealer UV protectant. Need it for sealing repair cutouts underneath trailer - guess it will work OK.

Good tape, used to seal my RV roof. Used instead of the more expensive eternabond tape. Word to the wise I didn't save any money as if you read this is "coating ready tape" well that means its not ok to stick it on there and be done with. You must then buy a $60 a gallon elastomeric coating to protect this from the UV rays..... My mistake. Hey if I help you save a couple bucks from buying the wrong tape please vote this review as helpful so it stays at the top and more people dont make the honest mistake I did
