Very inexpensive so you get a great value for your money. This easily switches between inches and MM and has an easy to view screen. My son has already used this several times on welding projects and he has no problems reading it even with his welding helmet on. This caliper does turn off automatically when not being used for a bit but it was still nice the package came with an extra battery for when the first one dies. This tool is functional and easy to use.

I’ve used this digital caliper for a few DIY projects, and it’s been accurate and easy to handle. Switching between metric and imperial is simple with the button, and the screen is large enough to read easily. The only downside is that it’s a bit delicate, so you’ve got to be careful with it.

Having worked with precision measuring tools for decades, I can remember when digital calipers first came out and were very expensive. You could still spend a couple hundred dollars on a Starrett or Mitutoyo, but the idea of getting a tool like this for around $30 is quite attractive.On first use, the movement was a little stiff and almost 'gritty', although with some use and sliding through the full range a few times, they got reasonably smooth. I didn't have calibrated standards to check them against, but using my higher-end dial calipers as a reference, they seem to be adequately accurate and repeatable throughout the range for inside, outside, and depth measurements alike. I'm not sure how they would do in an industrial environment, but for use around the house and garage, they will most certainly do the job just fine without breaking the bank.

These calipers are simple and they work. Once zeroed, the digital scale tracks precisely along the printed ones, which is what you want in something like this. If you have ever used any digital calipers before, then this works exactly as you would expect. This unit comes with a spare battery, and another is already installed and ready to go, so you do get two batteries, which is nice. I am pleased.I was able to request and get these calipers for free from Amazon Vine, and I would have no problem spending my own money on these if I had to get more. I highly recommend.
