I never write reviews but thought I would here to save future customers some potential frustration. First of all this thing is super easy to install. Hook up positive to positive and negative to negative. I did this and the little light was flashing but it did not start counting hours. In the instructions it says "TO RESET TOTAL HOURS" Connect Pin C and PIN - shortly. What it should have said is "In order to activate hour meter YOU MUST use a jumper wire to briefly connect the C terminal to the negative terminal. This will enable the meter to start counting hours. Hours will not start counting until this action is taken. Use this same method to reset hours on the meter."Anyway It would have been 5 stars if it was not for the lack of instruction. Future customers..... you're welcome.

Le comptuer fonctionne bien mais la fonction reset ne marche pas. Ca n'est pas un grand problème mais il faut le savoir.

I mean they work as advertised but in my case I was annoyed I could not read them with the power off. Naturally an LCD display shows nothing without power. In my case this was not useful so I swapped them with a mechanical counter. Its too bad they don't make one with a little ePaper display so it is always legible even with the power off ... something to consider guys?Anyway perfectly fine for application where you only need to reference the display with power on.

So far so good.Thought dead but found a loose power wire on my end when installed. Remember the meter hours only show up when the generator is running.
