MAINTENANCE
1. The white plastic disc on the top of the detector should be cleaned with a damp cloth when necessary.
2. Do not store the instrument where temperature or humidity is excessively high.
3. The reference level, as marker on the face plate, is on the top of the photo detector globe.
4. The calibration interval for the photo detector will vary according to operational conditions, but generally the sensitivity decreases in direct proportion to the product of luminous intensity by the operational time. In order to maintain the basic accuracy of the instrument, periodic calibration is recommended.

Wanted to measure external light strength to gauge the performance of my new solar PV array. Didn't want to spend a lot as it's just a guide. Seems fine - certainly does show where the LUX level triggers and starts power generation (which, of course, is poor over the winter with ow sun and short days).Also was on a deal (£5:99) when I bought this, so can't complain at all.

Sehr guter Lichtmesser, ich benötige ihn für mein Pflanzenanzucht im Januar (Chili). Test haben gezeigt dasdie Lichtwerte gut abzulesen sind. Die Handhabung ist gut. Ich bin Zufrieden damit.

Gerät liegt gut inder Hand. Ob es gaenau misst kann ich nicht überprüfen. Warum aber so billige und ungenaue Schiebeschalten und eine sperrige Kabelverbindung verbaut wurde weiß der Technicker alleine.

I needed one of these to find the correct distance to sit from my S.A.D lamp to give 10,000 lux (the correct intensity of light to be effective). This may be a bottom of the market light meter but for my needs it's all I needed. It showed me that I had to sit around 50 cm from the lamp to get 10,000 lux. Most of the small L.E.D S.A.D lights on the market say they provide 10,000 lux but few tell you at what distance this is achieved. The minority that do, give a distance of 20cm, which is ridiculously close. The amateur who occasionally wants an idea of light levels this meter does the job.

Well I don't like that is 9 volt battery why do I like it then it actually works works great if you guys want to spend $20 it's worth it the cheapest one you can buy with Amazon prime delivery. I think it works I just don't know how to calibrate it if I have to it does give you a manual that tells you how to do it but I don't understand how lux meters work but I understand that it reads lights. If we get any more in stock it's worth if you want something cheap it's worth it.
