This splitter is officially authorized by DirecTV with regard to bandwidth and the power pass loop between the dish and the receiver. Splitters from big box stores do not meet these criteria and will not work properly with 4K or 8K Smart TVs.

Bought an outdoor television antenna that allowed me to have 48 over the air channels. Decided I wanted to split that signal to share with another TV on my house. All the splitters I had laying around didn’t allow the DC to feed back to the antenna which ruined the reception. This solved the problem. The current could get back to the antenna to power the signal amplifier. Best price o could find and it was delivered in just a few days on safe and secure packaging.

Great splitter. I went with a BAMF splitter over this one originally because it looked snazzier. I ended up having to go with this one in the end as the BAMF one had one OUT leg fail and I figured if this splitter is good enough for hundreds of thousands of DirecTV installations then it should work for my antenna setup. I needed a splitter that had a DC pass through as I have an antenna mounted preamp on the roof with a splitter in the attic and wanted to keep the power inserter in my garage. This worked out perfectly and only passes DC on one side which I think might be more reliable. The BAMF splitter passed DC on both sides and only lasted for a few weeks before one of my TV's started getting heavy pixelation on some channels whereas my other TV was totally fine despite having a run with more signal loss than the TV having pixelation issues. Now both TV's are fine using the SWM splitter.
