I put mine in my bedroom and it has been on 24/7 for at least 2-weeks straight. I have no problem sleeping with it on, but the remote works great and makes it easy to turn off or to change the lighting effects and to control the Laser and LED lights separately. If you just want to turn off the Lasers (or the LEDS) and keep the other on, you can do that.I've had other 'party lights' with motors that weren't silent so I really appreciate that this one makes absolutely no sound at all.The housing is very durable, the variety of colors and patterns are impressive and it's a great value. The power cord was a bit short for my needs so I used an extension cord. I mounted mine high on a shelf pointed slightly upwards because you don't want to have the laser shining right into your eyes.

This light arrived partially broken, so I wasn't able to evaluate the full effect of it. This is unfortunate since this light and the remote offers a very good amount of control over what the light does. But overall I can tell that the internals of the light are not strong enough to hold everything in place if the unit experiences some bumps in transit, or a fall off a surface perhaps.The light has a laser that can be toggled between red, green or both. Also has a diffraction light that has red, blue, green plus any combination. And also has a white/pinkish strobe light, so its a three in one. Each part can be used independently and turned on/off, with color options working independently as well. This is fantastic and rarely are there cheap party lights out there that offer this functionality.Comes with an AC to DC 5V adaptor as well as a USB to DC in. I powered it with the USB which is really convenient with all the power strips i have that have usb ports. Dual power options is great, although a usb c input into the light would have been ideal for sure.Unfortunately for me the internal assembly that holds the diffraction light in place broke off on the inside so the light doesn't shoot out through the diffraction dome. This part of the light doesn't work at all. The laser works at least, as does the strobe light. I can tell that the internal support structures on the inside just don't hold up well and are likely all made of cheap brittle plastic. The amazon box and the product box show no sign of damage in transport. Taking it apart is difficult too, and I gave up on fixing this. At least its a laser.So this light does have potential, but only if you don't plan to move around with it too much as it is fragile. The control features are great, hopefully more cheaper party lights have this level of control so they don't default into unpleasant carnival seizure inducing mode - which seems to be the case with most cheap lights

Wow, I'm really impressed with the light show, especially the provided by this disco ball light. The lights are bright enough to light up a small event room or bedroom.However, the housing of the light is full plastic, the sound activation does not seem to work, the power plug is not secure to the unit and the instructions provided fail to provide details on how to properly operate the different modes available on the light.

My daughter really likes to play with this before she goes to bed and it's got so.e pretty neat designs and color combinations. My only negative is the cord length, it's short which makes it hard to find a decent spot to set it to get a good view of the full projection.
