About this item

  • 📺【 Stunning 4K@120Hz Visual Quality】 Compliant with the DisplayPort 1.4 standard, this KVM switch supports resolutions up to 4K@120Hz, with backward compatibility for lower resolutions like 2K and 1080P. Multiple hotkey combinations are available to cater to different user preferences. Four LED indicators on the front panel provide clear visual feedback on the current computer selection.
  • 📺【Dual USB 3.0 Ports for Peripheral Connectivity】 In addition to the KVM USB ports for your keyboard and mouse, this 4x2 DisplayPort switch includes two USB 3.0 ports (backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1) for connecting other USB devices such as printers, flash drives, and hard drives. Setup Guide

Connections: Each computer necessitates two DP cables and one USB A-to-B cable (four USB A-to-B cables are provided; DP cables are not).

Step 1: Utilize the enclosed adapter to power up the KVM switch.

Step 2: Attach each computer to the KVM switch using two DP cables and one USB A-to-B cable, plugging them into the respective DP and USB-B ports. Repeat this configuration for all four computers.

Step 3: Connect your keyboard and mouse to the designated USB KVM ports on the switch. Plug the wired remote controller into the “SW” port. Lastly, insert any additional USB devices into the USB 3.0 ports to finalize the setup.

Important Notes:

  • Confirm that all DP cables adhere to the DP1.2 standard, and ensure that your computer and monitor are compatible with 4K resolution.
  • HDMI/VGA/DVI/USB-C to DP adapters or cables are supported, but please verify that they can handle up to 4K resolution.
  • The arrangement of the left and right DP ports is flexible; you can adjust the monitor order in your PC's display settings.

Item: KVM Switch DisplayPort 8K@60Hz, 2 Way DP KVM Switch for 2 Computer Share 1 HD Monitor and USB Keyboard MouseNote: This is for the 2 port KVM which is not currently listed at the time of this review. The KVM works very well, once I got the cabling all figured out. One device is DP to DP, another is HDMI (active) to DP and then it's DP to HDMI for the monitor. But it all works. The KVM is rated for 8k@60Hz, but I'm only using it at 4k@60Hz and everything looks good.I do like and find it very handy to have the tethered remote for switching the inputs. Makes switching quick and easy without having to stretch for the KVM itself that is buried away in the corner. I also tested out some of the hotkey controls, and they work fine. However, I bypassed them by using the front port for the keyboard as I don't want the hardware hotkeys to interfere with any of my assigned hotkeys. There is one issue I ran across. For some reason the KVM intercepts buttons 3 & 4 from my mouse and doesn't pass them thru. Which means I can't use it plugged into the rear ports, so I have to plug it into one of the front ports. While you can disable/change keyboard control options for the KVM, I do not see a way to disable mouse control of the KVM.

No video signal at all. I've tried 3 different DP cables, tried different input ports, even assumed outputs A/B were possibly mixed up. Nothing, No signal at all. All cables used were high quality. No signal.

The package came with everything needed to connect two computers to one monitor, just as advertised. There are four shared USB ports, with two being designated as keyboard and mouse. They work as standard USB ports, though, so they are available for other devices if you use bluetooth instead. Surprisingly, there are some brackets included that allow you to mount the switch, using the remote button to change systems. There is no audio connector to share a set of speakers, though. Both front USB ports are slow USB 2.0, with the two rear ports being even slower. Do not expect any decent speeds, though. All ports are Display Port, but they do not support linked displays. That's a huge missed opportunity. Without HDMI ports, you may have to buy new cables.

I am also an owner of a 49-inch ultrawide monitor and performing juggling acts between Windows and Apple devices (thanks, port replicator!), I understand the struggle for a seamless KVM switch. This one certainly delivered in many ways, but prepare for a few bumps along the Apple highway.Initial Hiccups, Solved with Cable Power:Like the other reviewer, I encountered image stability issues with my MacBook Pro. DisplayPort cable gremlins were the culprit! Thankfully, swapping them out for cables rated for 16K banished the flickering, lines, and blinking image, leaving behind a smooth, crisp visual experience.Device Switching: Mostly a Dream, Occasionally a Nightmare:Switching between devices usually works like a charm. However, the occasional monitor hang-up during transitions throws a wrench in the works. A quick power cycle sorts it out, but it can be jarring. My suspicion? The lightning-fast switch between refresh rates (60Hz to 240Hz) might be tripping things up. I am hoping I see less of this with the new cables. But Wait, There's More! 240Hz Heaven for Gamers:Here's where this KVM switch truly shines. My gaming rig, armed with a 2070RTX GPU, reveled in the buttery-smooth 240Hz refresh rate at 5120x1440 resolution. That, my friends, is pure gaming bliss. This feature alone makes this KVM a serious contender for any gamer's desk. The Verdict:This KVM switch delivers stunning visuals, effortless switching (mostly), and gamer-pleasing 240Hz bliss. However, be prepared for the occasional Apple hiccup and a potentially finicky refresh rate dance. If you can navigate those quirks, this switch could be your ultrawide multi-device dream come true.Look, it's got its quirks, more like a loveable rogue than a polished prince. But when it comes to delivering butter-smooth 240Hz on my ultrawide, this KVM makes my inner geek do a happy dance. For this kind of performance at this price, I'm willing to overlook the occasional monitor tantrum. Five stars, with a wink and a nudge.
