This is sadly, poorly made. To start the screws aren't aligned right, so they don't easily come through to attach to the video card. You have to force them through. It's nearly impossible to get it to make a good connection. When I finally got it seated, it worked OK a few times, then just stopped working all-together. I couldn't get a signal at all. Using it on an nvidia nvs 300, which supports displayport. The DMS connector is just not good. If I didn't get this on vine to review, it would have been returned.

Don't make the same mistake I did. This is not a DVI adapter. I'm not going to rate it poorly because of my mistake, but I will just educate you in case you didn't know this (like I didn't). At first I thought to myself "oh, I didn't know you could split 2 monitors from a single DVI port...how does the computer know that it's 2 monitors?" I should have listened to my instinct rather than assume it would work in my scenario, where I have only a single DVI port coming out of my Dell Optiplex. I figured I could split the signal into to DP ports and have dual monitors.I was wrong. This is a DMS port, which looks almost identical to the DVI port. Needless to say, I learned a lesson with this item."The more you know!"

Bought this DisplayPort cable for my Dell Optiplex. I already have DVI and VGA versions of this cable and they both work great. But now I need either DP or HDMI. Plugged in this DisplayPort cable and got NOTHING sent out to the monitor. Have just messaged seller and we'll see what they say.Update: seller agreed it won't work. Not sure where it would. Past return date but Amazon gave me credit. I ended up buying a PCI-e card instead.

Would have rated this zero stars if possible. Complete waste of time and money. Seems to work okay with one 1920x1080 display, but when two are connected, one of the screens has a terrible jitter/shaking effect over about 80% of the screen. Troubleshooted by swapping cables and inputs, etc to no avail.
