I purchased this product as the dimensions showed the strapping to be 5.5cm wide and it appeared more robust from other products on line. This is not the case. Only a very short length of padding by the clip is 55mm wide. It is no better than cheaper products advertised on line - i recommend you buy it elsewhere, from a retailewr who does not try to mislead you.

First straps lasted in the MN spring/summer for 3 years no problem. Were compromised by a fool hanging on them. No problem, new straps are of equal quality and should last another 3 years. Pretty impressed that they lasted so long in the weather.

These straps work great and as advertised. Used them for to hold 2 youth sit-on kayaks (6.5 ft), and an adult sit-in kayak (9.5ft).
