My elderly parents who couldn't care for him, so he was given to my husband and I. His fur has the tendency of getting matted and Tangled and I cannot tell you how wonderful these clippers were. I've tried all kinds of scissors, clippers etc. and these are by far the quickest, safest and most comfortable to use in my opinion. My dogs hair is very thick curly... Since he's a poodle mix. As long as you clean the hair off as you go along you should have no problem. Good luck hope you get the same results!

I don't use this for my pets. I use it for myself and it is as good or better than some of the other trimmers that are geared for grooming. I wish it came with a bag to contain all the different attachments, but it is a great trimmer!
