Had to replace my old pet door and I love this one. The door stays in place and won’t unhook. It is very secure into the frame. I have a cat and dog that use it and it works very well. It is easy to install. Make sure to use the screen cutout from the frame for the door screen installation. It is a very sleek looking door and the pattern of the plastic on the door makes it very sturdy. It is not overpriced and worth every cent.

I added this to a bunny hutch so that air can come in, but not flies.I really didn't like having to insert my own screen. I did not have screen to cutout, since I was applying this to a wall. But I did have some strong metal screen. This proved to be a pain because there are lots of little pegs in the frame. For each peg, I had to pry a hole in the screen using a small screw. The end result turned out well, but not enough return on investment.I have another door similar to this. The screen was pre-installed, and the locking mechanism is sturdier on this one. Therefore, I like the frame size and appearance. But I'm not going to say that it's my favorite.

this is a great option for screen door entry for cats. purchased for a customer who required one for cats to get in and out. easy to install, directions are good, and results are perfect. cost was excellent. would recommend this product to anyone who needs it.

I have another pet door similar to this but it came with the screen built-in, so I am not exactly happy that this one makes you add it in yourself. It doesn't make it a solution-oriented product when you already have to do a bit of work to install at all. Other than that, the latch mechanism is sturdy so I appreciate that. With some weaker products, it will produce gaps over time and of course bugs get in from those gaps. My cat can use pet doors but still prefers not to, so that suggests there is room for improvement in these types of products overall.

I got this to install in my screen door at the back of my house, so that my cats can come and go as they please. The cats were able to teach themselves to use this after a couple tries, and our two small dogs know how to use and they will if they have to (but they're babies and prefer for us to open the door for them). Our back door has animal-proof screen in it, which we discovered made it a lot more difficult to install this simple product, because the thickness of the screen prevented it from clamping together easily. Also, make sure you save the square that you cut out of the door you're installing this in, because you have to use that square of screen to put it in the flap part of this mechanism.
