I ordered according to the size chart. My dog is 17.3 lbs and 10 months old wearing S. He has never been in our swimming pool but I got this for the upcoming summer season. The straps and Velcro are adjustable so if he grows a bit more we have more than enough room to enlarge it. (he is a mini Goldendoodle so I do not expected to get much bigger). When I put it on I thought it was a snug fit but you can see in the photos that it actually was not a snug as we had thought and was quite loose in the back. Our puppy did not like it when we initially put it on him because we were adjusting it as we went along. If you have a dog that might bite you, then I suggest bribery or using a muzzle. I like the color against his brown fur and think he looks cute in it. It has two silver metal attachment points on the back where you could put a leash through, much like a harness. The metal attachment points feel thin but will work for a small dog. I can’t say if the hardware is bigger on the larger sizes. The handle is comfortable.

Very good quality life jacket for a dog! I was surprised how well made this vest was and the fit was exactly as advertised. It was easy to put on my dog and the straps are adjustable which allowed me to adjust to his size. The color I chose was the lime green and it was bright and vibrant. The design of this jacket is very good. It has excellent buoyancy and did not impede him while he swam. The price is high, but the quality is worth it.

This vest is well made and I absolutely love the color. I got the X-large and it fits my Golden Retriever. The vest is nicely made and has good construction and secure attachment. The vest not only attaches with hook and loop patches, but also has straps to further secure it to my dog. Everything is adjustable to snug up the fit. I mainly got the vest to protect my dog in case she falls into the water (we have a large pond), however, she does seem to get a little warm wearing it.I like that the vest has a handle for retrieving the dog if she gets into the water. There is also hardware for attaching a leash. The vest goes on and off easily.

My dog is a Rat Terrier mix who weighs about 25lbs. We measured him according to the chart provided and the medium fits him perfectly.I thought he would be a small, but he's a medium, so make sure you measure and use the sizing chart!He looks super cute in it- I can't currently vouch for the floatation of it because our lakes are still frozen, but I'm excited that I can take him out on the paddle board this Summer! It seems to be well-constructed and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't keep him afloat.The velcro is a good backup for the buckles, and it all fits him securely.He seems comfortable in it, though I'll definitely let him break it in before expecting him to comfortably wear it for an extended period of time to make sure he doesn't get chafing.It seems like a great value for the money.

The Doglay Ripstop Dog Life Vest is made well. The stitches are solid, closures include velcro and adjustable straps with buckles. The buckles are very sturdy and lock in place. I like the fluorescent green color for visibility. The life vest includes a handle at the top so you can grab your dog more easily. This would be especially important if the dog is scared. I am not sure what the purpose is of the two metal buckles at either end of the handle. The overall descriptions said the jacket is made of neoprene but only the underside or belly portion of the jacket is neoprene. The material tag on the jacket does not list neoprene but instead 100% polyester and the padding is expandable polyethylene. The jacket itself seems quite stiff. I don’t know how comfortable it will be for my dog to wear.I bought the jacket judging the adult size of my 4 month old miniature poodle so he is not yet big enough for it to fit. To me the head opening seems quite large even when adjusted to is smallest size. Poodles have smaller heads and necks so I don’t know if this will fit him securely.

This fit great in a large for my pittie and will be great for going out on the boat since he's not always the best swimmer and resembles a rock more than a doggy paddle. This give me a bit more piece of mind. The buckles are easy to use and have some adjustment space which was utilized and the velcro seal is very nice. I love the handle on it and was even able to pick him by it easily and he is 50lbs. The handle is strong and did not give any signs that it would rip by doing such I also love that it has to leash hook up points which is extra nice since I would have to hike with him to go where I need to enter the water and id rather not have to switch out his harness and lead just because their wasn't an option. I also love the bright color contrast. My doggo love his jackets and even though this was the thickest and most firm one he has had on he loved it and even laid down in it and had his tail wagging like crazy ready to go for a wall in it.

I ordered this vest to use on our boat as we just adopted an 8 month old puppy, so I did have to guesstimate a bit as to which size will ultimately suit her. There is some opportunity to adjust the shoulder and side straps to loosen as needed, although there are limits to the amount of give in the overall fit. The best design element of this vest is the handle at the top, which you can grab to help maneuver your dog into the boat. I do wish the handle was more substantial though, like a heavy rubber for better gripping. This handle may be less effective for handling larger dogs. The material is buoyant but the overall fit does have a bit of bulk to it. The velcro provides a snug closure.
