A comment about this item. The outside diameter is too big to fit in an 8mm hole. I think the inserts measure about .340", when they need to be .315". I tried to pound one in right out of the bag and it started to crack the web of wood between the 8mm hole and the 35mm hinge pocket. Not so good. I have maple cabinet doors. As is, these inserts will not work as intended. I am lucky and have a lathe and was able to turn them down. But, most ordinary people do not have a lathe and so these inserts will be useless to them. To Rockler: make a better product!

Horrible they never mentioned that the part wasn't really a replacement part because it didn't contain the built in dowel the old part had.
