I installed on my side gate, right next to my side door. Also, I added a line of silicone on the top to keep water from trickling down and sitting between the camera and wood. The only issue is, it's so snug that it's kind of a pain to lift the camera and get it off the mounting plate. Otherwise, it does it's job! Very happy with it.

This little cover is great to keep the camera lens free of rain when the rain comes from any direction but from the front. It was easy to install and fits quite well. It also delivers some sun protection, which is also helpful in sunny climates.

This metal doorbell cover fits my ring doorbell snuggly and is super easy to install. This simply slips around the doorbell and then screws to the wall or post your doorbell is on and requires no uninstalling of your doorbell which is great. The metal housing provides a solid plate around the doorbell limiting the amount of rain or snow that can get to your doorbell unit. This is a simple upgrade for increasing the lifespan of your doorbell. My one complaint would be that there should be a rubber strip along the back that squeezes against the wall providing a 100% water tight seal. As it is right now it would be considered water resistant not waterproof.
