The new assembly fit and worked well. The package must have gotten wet in shipping as there was surface rust and signs of moisture on the linkage assemble. Cleaning it up install went fine. The aftermarket linkage assembly is a little lighter in construction than OEM but the wiper motor bolted up correctly and the assembly installed correctly. Make sure you cycle the whiper before you install the wiper arms and double the wiper alignment defore closing up the cowling and final install of the wiper arms.

The splines on this new trans are different from the original. I had to chamfer th top to help get the arm started then wire brush the splines throughly to just barley get the arms to go on. Took an hour of hard work to make them fit.

I would not recommend this parts for a 2005 Dodge ram 1500. The reason being is that not only was it not timed correctly the OEM wiper arms do not fit according Lee to the hardware. I am not a newbie mechanic, but I am not an expert either. That being said there was no way for me to figure out how to time it differently so that the wiper would actually clean the entire windshield, rather than only going halfway up. This is it a terrible fit, and I would not recommend to anyone. I would spend another $50 elsewhere and get the proper partin a heartbeat.

Read the reviews and was worried about the fit, no problem I positioned the new one to match the old then did the install the wipers fit real tight but gave then a lite tap and they set, way better than trying to repair a broken arm

The transmission assembly was NOT clocked correctly for a 2005 Ram 1500. Assembled and installed assembly (without wiper arms) in vehicle. Operated and adjusted MOTOR ARM LINK for wipers to be in stowed position when motor is off. Aligned wiper arms for stowed position and marked location of new keyways. Removed entire assembly from vehicle, cut new keyways in splined posts, installed in vehicle. Installed wiper arms for alignment test. Removed wiper arm assemblies to perform a final/complete install. 4 HoursWarning: Electrically disconnect at the motor assembly when preforming work (even with the ignition key removed from the ignition switch). Should the motor drive shaft be moved while you are working, the motor assembly WILL operate and drive the assembly one complete cycle back to stow.
