I have a 2005 Honda Sedan. This product is the correct size, but the connection with the wiper motor is not correct. The Dorman product metal is smooth where it sits on the wiper motor and will not connect snuggly to the wiper motor which has grooves. Because of this, you can not get the wipers to work. The motor spins, but doesn't have anything to mate up with to turn the wiper linkage. Also tried switching the piece out with the old part, but the ball socket on the Dorman is bigger than the OEM from Honda and the old part would not stay in the ball joint.

I bought this setup for my 2003 Civic DX because there was a lot of slop in my wipers. When I went to install this, I noticed that the linkage that connects to the wiper motor was too big and without ridges as stated in a previous review.I thought my car would be fine because the VIN didn't start with a "J" like another reviewer mentioned but I found this not to be accurate. I was in a pinch so I cut part of my old linkage off and welded it to the new linkage to make it work. If it wasn't for this, I would have given it 5 stars because it seems to be otherwise well made.

the price was right but either i ordered the wrong one or its not a true exact fit. I had to modify the connection to the wiper motor as the hole was to large for the tapered shaft out of the wiper motor.... A ball peen hammer fixed it by tapping down the linkage enough to taper the hole.not disappointed by the purchase, it just took some engineering to correct the fit....everything else was direct bolt on with no issues.

Seems like it is made well. This will not work if your VIN# starts with a "J". These Honda's are made in Japan and have a smaller hole that the wiper transmission linkage has which goes on the wiper motor.

The local "stealership" wanted over $400.00 to repair the slamming wipers on my wife's 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. After watching a few DIY YouTube videos and waiting a few days for shipping this unit showed up, and installed it within 1 hour and 45 minutes including testing and clean up time for all the tools. In addition, I took my time to put anti-seize on all the fasteners and replaced a couple of cable straps that had become brittle and broke off. This job required a ratchet with 10mm, 14mm and 12mm sockets and a screw driver. No special tools required. This unit is powder coated (I think?) black and appears to be better corrosion protected than the OEM. I'm going to keep the old unit and just replace the plastic bushings that wore out. Then I'll have a hot-swappable spare for the next episode.
