Installed in a 2006 F350 with auto temperature control. It works great and no more listening to the old one click click click on a stripped gear.

If ur temp control goes out in ur early 2000s f250/350 like mine did this is definitely the part u need. It took a whole 2 min to replace and I was back in business. But idk if my truck original temp control was off to begin with but when mine went out it was winter time and used to before if I set my temp on let's say 75° the truck would feel like 75 even if it took the heat blowing hotter to get it to feel that way till desire temp was reached then it cooked down to correct temp. Since replacement seems like I need to crank it up to 90° to get the cabin warm then dial it back down myself vs letting "auto" do its things. Now it's summer time which is when I wanted to write this to see how this thing done full season and the auto cool still works as it did. Really tho for the price I'm happy with it. Sure beats nothing.

Works and fits great, took 2 min to take out the old one and put the new one in if you have strong fingers. I hope this review will help some people out because I had ordered the wrong one off the bat. First you need to make sure you buy the part that works with what type of climate control system you have in your truck. Mine is auto climate so this is the right part. The first one I purchased did not work as it was for manual climate controls. Second when you take the old one out just pinch the two front posts that hold it in place and then reach behind the part and pinch the one in the rear left of the part and it will lift straight up and out. When you put the new one in you can use a stubby flathead and stick it down the hole to make sure the post is facing the right way or plug the part in start the truck and put it on whatever setting your air is coming out. So if it's blowing hot plug it in and put the climate controls to heat and it should slide right in. There are only three posts not four, even though the part has holes for four. The tricky part is the post in the rear could be a pain for some people. I have skinny fingers and it was tough, I don't have small hands but I had to fight it a little so hang in there and be patient it will come out just like the front two posts did. Finally if your truck was making a click click or "thud" "thud""thud"....etc, this is your fix, and one more thing you can take the part and split it in two, take the post out and put it in the hole and turn in manually until you fix it or buy this part, that is what I did and it worked great until this came in the mail.

Took less than 2 minutes to install on my 2005 F250 Lariat. Worked just like it should

I watched video, after video on how these things go in my truck, and dreaded even getting started. Guess the old saying is true that a person can imagine a scenario much worse than the scenario in reality. It took me all of 10 minutes from start to finish. And this part works flawlessly! And it fit perfectly. I have an '06 Ford Super Duty, and simply dropped the glove box out of the way, unplugged the old one, and using a screw driver popped it out. For anyone reading this, before you go back with the new one look at the shaft of the new, and the old to see how it needs to be turned going back in. I had to stick mine in the hole, and barely rotate it till it fell in place. Just take your time, and it will work.

Fits and works perfect to fix an old clicking actuator. Easy job, just index it properly without applying power to actuator.

There are two different models of this depending if you have auto or manual AC.Dorman 604-203 is for manual AC.Dorman 604-272 is for auto AC.For whatever reason the amazon listings do not mention this. I ordered by my vehicle make and incorrectly chose 604-203 to begin with. The actuator while fitting properly did not work. After some research I found 604-272 is the part I needed for my Auto Ac in my 05 F250 lariat. So double check which one you actually need. Manual AC has the 3 knobs, auto has the buttons.
