During the summer the driver’s side didn’t blow as cool as the passenger and during winter it wasn’t as warm as the passenger side. This fixed that issue.I was a bit concerned after pulling the OEM (left in the picture) and comparing it to this product (right in the picture). Thinking I ordered the wrong one. However, all the holes aligned and it works like a charm in my 2014 Silverado 1500 high country.Don’t be alarmed if the motor is in a different position as the door actuator gear where this slips into is easy to manually manipulate.

No AC in my step dad’s truck on driver side. Had to disassemble the dash to get to it but once installed it worked perfectly!2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Two of these door actuators are used on the 2015 chevy tahoe. Both went out within a month of each other on my 150,000 mile rig. The lower actuator that services the passenger temperature is easy to change out. the driver side actuator is difficult to get to, but not the fault of the actuator itself. Youtube videos helped to determine what panels to remove to get to the unit.

Cold A/C air quit blowing out the drivers side vents. After some research found that this actuator is usually the problem. Dealer wanted $1100.00 to replace the bad one. Told me the whole dash had to come out to replace. Not true. You can replace it by going through the glovebox opening. There are a couple YouTube videos out that show you how. It's a pain to do but you can still do it. Took me a little over an hour. I bought the Dorman rather than going with the original AC Delco for it offers a lifetime warranty. Air now blows cold out the drivers vents and it is working properly.

This will fix the clicking in your dash but beware, its a beast to install if you're talking driver side. You need to be real flexible. Passenger side, which this part also fits, it a bit easier being on the bottom of the HVAC unit.
