Bolted right up and I don't expect any issues. I'm pretty sure the original manifold failed due to a broken exhaust pipe mount on the transmission allowing excessive stress on the manifold joints. That issue is fixed and the new manifold should last another 145,000 miles.

1989 Jeep cherokee XJAfter spending 6 hours removing old manifold, this one does not fit. At the #6 cylinder it is 1.5" too long and does not allow the intake manifold to bolt to the engine. comparing it to the OEM part, its obvious that it does not look the same."direct replacement" and "Exact fit" are not words i would use to describe the product.

Just for the record I received a 'Hermoff" branded part not the Dorman one showed on this picture, the outlet for the #6 cylinder went way too far into the down pipe and I had to find a way to cut it , the bolt holes for the #1 exhaust port didn't line up correctly so I had to ream them with a rat tail file so I could instal it , the EGR tube was also way off and i had to bend mine to make it work, the " donut flange gasket was also not included, if you order this Dorman one and receive a Hermoff exhaust manifold you should expect problems,

Put this exhaust manifold on my '87 Jeep Comanche. It fit well and appears to be working fine. The welds are a little rough and time will tell how long they hold up, but for the price and fit...I am satisfied.

This exhaust manifold is said to be a direct replacement for the factory manifold. Well, it is anything but. It does match the bolt holes but that is as far as it matches. The EGR tube is now about an inch off. The exhaust outlet is also slightly off which makes the exhaust pipe hit the bell housing. I have no way to make a new EGR tube. It is not flexible enough to bend. Stay away from Dorman unless you want nothing but headaches.
