I bought this motor to replace the one that came on my Cub Cadet snow blower. It is the motor that rotates the chute. Cub Cadet wants $270 for the a replacement motor which includes the mounting brackets and cover because they realized that the original design is flawed so they came up with a different design as a replacement for when the motor dies which they seem to do very often from what I can gather from the web. I saved quite a bit of money buying this from Amazon.
