My Jeep GC had the engine light on. I knew the canister was faulty due to smoke test so replaced that. The engine light came back on after about 3 months and literally the only thing left was the vapor purge valve. After replacing the valve the engine light went off on its own after a few days and has remained off.

My WJ was having a hard time starting after fueling up - which isn't fun. Turns out when this part goes bad, it floods the engine with fuel.Found this part at half the price one of the retailers wanted for the same Dorman part - and it got to me FAST.Super easy to install, no tools needed! And now the new one's in, Jeep is back to starting first try every time.

Direct replacement for my 2004 Grand Cherokee, 4.7 non-HO. Hoped it would get rid of the the annoying "click click click" at idle that sounds like a collapsed lifter. I have found the ECU is opening and closing the valve rapidly, and there isn't much I can do - it is NOT the valve's fault. Install was cake, and a good exercise that forced me to inspect vacuum lines that turned into an project tracing all pressure and vacuum lines under the hood which resulted in finding several leaks.Don't bother buying if you too are trying to eliminate the valve chatter, it won't help. DO buy if you have traced a P0443 to the evap purge solenoid. Install in less than 5min.***UPDATE 5.3.2021*** FAILED!! P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow. Fortunately, as mentioned above, the factory purge solenoid was fine and I reinstalled it. Code cleared. For confirmation, I put the Dorman back in place, immediately the code returned. Dorman unit now in the trash. Historically Dorman parts have not let me down, so I won't let one bad part turn me off the Dorman name. Calling this unit a fluke - none the less 5 stars goes to 1 for complete failure.

Purchased this valve because i had a code PO 456 emissions leak on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Installed the new one, and the code has cleared. Product looks to be very good quality, and best of all it works as intended to. Thanks for a great product at less than half the price, compared to local part stores.
