This Dorman CV is the only option I had for my driveshaft on my 2005 Nissan Xterra. I regret buying it from this seller on Amazon and I would recommend buying it elsewhere or choosing another alternative if at all possible. The package originally arrived missing the metal clamp for the boot hence the temporary zip tie there. As frustrating as that is I can always add one later so I held off on complaining. The next issue was the rubber O ring seal for the back cover. I ended up having to reuse my old o ring because the one supplied by dorman is absolute garbage and broke just trying to line it up around the edge before installing the cover. Now a few months later I notice this slit/tear in the boot while I was underneath doing other work. Absolutely unacceptable.TLDR:- package was missing the dust boot clamp- supplied o-ring is trash and broke on install- dust boot split within a few months of install

Easy install and about 500 miles later of towing it’s going strong. I’ll update this review if that changes

The only reason I gave it a four star rating is cause packing it with grease and getting the grease seal/cover seated is tedious and time consuming. Just make sure you dont over pack the unit or you wont be able to compress the extra grease and get the cover seated. OTHER THAN THAT!! the unit works awesome and was easy to install. You will also need a set of grip ring (or circlip) pliers to get the circlip off of the driveshaft and back on again when reassembling. I recommend removing the entire drivershaft so you can work on this at the bench. Once its installed replace the driveshaft and youre good to go. Prior experience with drivelshafts will make this much easier.
