I've assembled my share of all kinds of things but I found putting this weeding tool together surprisingly frustrating. But once I managed to do it, I was pleased with how well it worked. The technique is simple: center the tool's four prongs over the weed, push it down into the soil, rock it towards you, and the prongs close around the weed and extract it. There's a plastic sleeve you then push down the shaft to eject the weed and it works very well. I've pulled and ejected a huge number of weeds with it with little effort.The tool seems solid--it's mostly metal. Time will tell whether the spring mechanism that operates the ejection function lasts as long as the rest of it. But the ability to eject weeds, while not essential, sets this tool apart from many competitors; it saves a lot of time and effort. The prongs are also longer than some competing tools, and allows it to grip deep tap roots and even pull two or three weeds before ejecting them. It does pull out a plug of soil as well, depending on the type of soil and weed, but that's probably common to all similar tools.Considering it's solid construction, ejecting ability, and reasonable price, this tool is a good value.

This was th best purchase I ever made for this type of tool. I had another brand that lasted one year before the plastic on the bottom broke...and it cost twice the amouth this one did.If you're looking for a quality, good working and easy set up this is the one you want.

I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but I put it together. Quite easy assembly. The materials and construction are all top notch and sturdy, As soon as the rain stops I will go out and give it a try!UPDATE:I was finally able to use it this morning! This tool works fantastic! It is well worth the money! Quick fast and easy to use!

Amazing time saver and no up and down to clear the weed off the tool. It does leave some holes in the ground that need filled though.

This weed puller is well made and easy to operate. No more bending down unless you miss the center of the weed. In that case one or two more tries will take care of it.The only problem I had was that of the instructions. Aside for the fact that the font size required a magnifying glass to read, the instruction made a simple procedure very complex for no reason. I tossed the paper and figured it out myself in 10 minutes. Seriously the instructions are border line laughable. That said, the weed puller performs very well.
