The usb power cord has no Ferrite bead. If it's powered by your computer usb there will be a lot of noise. Crackling etc. Can't tell how good the sound is because I'm so annoyed by the power cable noise. I guess I'll find my own power cord to try.

Unit had a noticeable sound signature improvement over ifi zen 2 DAC internal amp. Both low and high end opened up. Plenty of power to drive any cans you may have. Solid all metal build. Nice size, not to big nor small for desktop use.
