Okay quality, although it would be nice to get them sealed.

Put these strings on my banjo after they arrived. Immediately my banjo seems louder. These are a tad bit heavier strings than what I have normally used. The banjo sounds good with them. We'll see if the live up to their longevity reputation.

I have used DR Pure Blues (long scale Fender type guitars) and Tite Fits (Les Paul scale guitars) on my electrics for years. As I increased interest in learning Scruggs-style Bluegrass banjo and subsequent play and practice time I tried many different strings including but not limited to Gibson, GHS and AMB cryogenically treated strings and many different gauges. I finally tried DR and couldn't be happier. Although the middle strings are a little thicker than some banjo "experts" recommend I find the tone to be even and strong across the spectrum with no harshness. They also have a good lifespan. I am obsessed with tone, a very subjective quality, on all of my stringed instruments and that is why I prefer the DR's.
