Did not fit in the VW 1600 motor. Was too thick. Would not go past o-ring. Through it out in garbage which is all it's worth.

This distributor works great, the little aluminum plug came out of the side somewhere, but it is still working good despite the rain here in Washington, and the oil leak on the car.

The oring is very difficult to get into the hole which from the sounds of it is a common complaint, but my biggest issue is I installed this distributor and went to set the static timing and when the rotor made contact my test light only very slightly dimmed and I had this issue for a while and checked it several times even reinstalling the original and then this one again to no avail. I pulled it and moved all my hardware to a new block due to a rod knock about 5 months later. After installing it I set static timing and the test light went out completely like it is supposed to which i would assume means something moved. I haven't had any real performance issues but it still makes me uneasy when I'm miles into the trails knowing the internals are apparently not completely secure
