I chose the black color, and it looks exactly as described. These retractable baby gates are a huge improvement over the old wooden collapsing ones! It fits well in my space and has a sleek look. I also love that it works for both babies and pets. While it does take some time to set up initially, once installed, it's super easy to zip in and out as needed. Definitely a great purchase!

This retractable baby gate is a sleek, space-saving way to secure areas from your little one. The gate has plenty of width to cover most door or stairways and is strong enough to hold up to a toddler. The retractable design means it is easy to roll up and store when not in use. Installation was easy enough with the included screw mounts and adhesive, just be sure to screw it into a stud, or use an appropriate drywall anchor. I will say that the gate does take a little practice to operate one handed, but it is doable. Overall, we are happy with this gate and are putting it good use!

This was an ideal baby gate for the bottom of our stairway and it was easy to install. It came with adhesive strips to attach to the backs of the pieces that screw on to the wall for an easy alignment and all the necessary hardware to attach to any surface. It glides back and forward with ease and the mesh is strong enough to keep our 10 month old from pushing it out of place. We prefer to have this gate at the bottom of the steps due to the way it locks in place. You have to slide the lock into a grove on both top and bottom and you have to push down a button and slide the lock piece up in order to unlock it. Which i found a little difficult to do with one hand. It works well for any narrow or wide door ways.

Iโve been using the Dreambaby Glide 'N Hide Extra Tall Retractable Baby Gate to manage busy areas of my home, and it's been a total game changer! With a little one always on the move, I needed something that wasnโt just functional but also looked good in my space, and this gate really fits the bill.Pros:-Retractable Design: Love that it glides out of the way when not in useโno bulky bars or panels. When retracted, itโs almost invisible, which I really appreciate for tight hallways and keeping my space feeling open.-Extra Height: At 35 inches tall, it gives me peace of mind, especially with a toddler whoโs already testing their climbing skills!-Flexible Fit: The gate extends up to 55 inches, which has been great for wider spaces. Itโs a relief not having to buy extra extensions to make it work.Cons:-Installation: It did take a bit of effort to get it installed correctly. The directions could have been a bit clearer, but once set up, itโs solid.-Two-Hand Operation: It does sometimes require both hands to retract, which can be tricky with a squirming toddler or arms full of laundry.Overall, this Dreambaby gate has made managing movement around the house so much easier. Itโs stylish, sturdy, and gives me that extra peace of mind without cluttering my home.

I purchased this baby gate intending to use it across my French patio doors, allowing me to enjoy the fresh air while keeping my pets outside. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it to fit the opening as I had hoped. Instead, I mounted it across my office doorway to keep both the baby and dogs out. To ensure stability, I used my own wall anchors, and so far, the gate has been working great. One thing Iโve noticed is that it can be a bit tricky to open and close with one hand, but with a little more practice, Iโm sure Iโll get the hang of it.What I really like about this gate is that itโs a permanent fixture, so I donโt have to worry about hunting it down or forgetting to put it up when needed. The rolling feature is also very smooth, and Iโm impressed with how compact it is when retractedโit rolls up to about the size of a wrapping paper tube and tucks neatly inside the room.I mounted the gate just inside the room, with the anchors positioned on the outside, between two door frames. When retracted, itโs small and unobtrusive, making it easy to live with in the space. Overall, Iโm happy with my purchase!

We've got a busy household with two big pups and an aspiring toddler, and over the years we've tried dozens of gates to keep the pups and kiddos at bay, and we've found a number of qualities that tend to be shared among the best gates we've tried. This gate has the 4 most important ones.1. It's the typical 55 inches of retractable gate which fits most doorway and stairwells without so much excess slack a kiddo or doggo will be easily to get underneath.2. It's at least 27 inches tall. That seems weirdly specific, I know, but we've found it's the height of a baby gate where people basically reconsider trying to step over it and make the effort to open the gate, walk through, and close it behind them. Shorter than that and you end up with people trying to step over or big dogs thinking they can easily jump over and then failing and bringing the gate and a chunk of your wall tumbling down. Taller is better. This one is 35 inches, that's great.3. It's screw-mounted. You might be averse to making holes in your walls, but after dozens of baby gates we've found adhesive mounts ALWAYS fail. Whether it's because a toddler, dog, or adult puts too much pressure on it, the adhesive loses its grip over time and just generally lacks the same strength as using the screw-in hardware mount. In the long run, patch a couple of screw holes with some wood glue or drywall and painting over it is less of a hassle than having to replace the chunk of drywall that gets pulled out when the adhesive mount gets pushed to hard and rips free.4. Easy to open with one hand. Whether it's a baby or groceries in one arm, all you need is one hand and a few practice tries to get good at opening this gate easily.***Overall Value***This is a great choice for a doorway or stairwell baby gate. Solid value.
