I really really love the concept of this one. Automatically taking the cork out of a wine bottle by a simple flick of the wrist. That's where it gets sort of interesting. When you first put this on the bottle and try to push in the cutter to snip the foil, you have to finagle your hands around and spin the opener - which works as long as you can use your fingers like that.once you get the foil off you can put this on the top and push together - unfortunately my partner didn't have the wrist strength to push the opener down after she had lifted it up, so it got stuck at the top, and I had to push it the rest of the way to open the bottle.I had first tried to use this on a cheaper bottle of wine with a rubber cork and it just shredded the cork without taking it out of the bottle, so I personally will never use it again with non-cork corks. It certainly has earned a spot in the wine cork opener drawer in the kitchen. I will probably find myself grabbing the old fashion one than using this one.Big time warning - the cork-screw jabber is SHARP SHARP SHARP - be careful that you don't stick it through your finger.

This is similar to the larger fulcrum style openings. This takes some care to use and is not intuitive. You have to have your hands in the right position. The materials are clearly quality, and once you have the hand of it, it does open a bottle without a lot of extra force. This is about 7 inches long, so not compact like the little ones carried by bartenders. It has an interesting built-in foil cutter.

I got this fancy bottle opener because I love wine. It's very cool how it can remove the foil from the top of the bottle, then get the cork out with two fluid motions (hinge moves in a half circle to enter the cork, then back again to remove it).I'll admit, though, I've struggled to get the hand of using it. My partner is better at using it than I am, so I usually just let him do it. If you have weak hands, this may not be a good product for you. Also, even though it is definitely a high-quality product, $49.95 (at the time of this review) is a bit steep to spend on a bottle opener that is just somewhat cooler and more convenient than other openers. Overall, though, I'd recommend it for wine lovers and enthusiasts!

This is a great product. The concept is excellent. It’s super easy to use and takes all the struggle out of opening a corked wine bottle, especially for beginners like me. Overall, the quality is great.

I own half a dozen different styles of wine bottle openers, including some from the Rabbit brand and bartenders tools. When I came across this Dreamfarm product, I had to try it, given Dreamfarm’s reputation for quality and innovation - just look at user reviews of their other products, and you’ll see they consistently receive high praise.Let’s get this out of the way: this wine opener is by no means a pocket-sized tool. The manufacturer’s claim in that regard is misleading, as it measures about 7 inches in length. Now, onto the more positive attributes. This opener works, and it works well - reminds me of the full-size standing openers that are much larger in scale. It outperforms Rabbit openers in that it operates in a single, smooth motion, swinging over 270 degrees. In contrast, Rabbit openers swing roughly 180 degrees in one direction and require a reverse motion to extract the cork. Because the Dreamfarm design completes the process in one fluid motion, I find it both smoother and requiring less effort. So, is it worth the asking price? For wine aficionados who collect various openers, it’s a no-brainer - YES, it’s worth it. For those who aren’t as particular or are just starting out, I highly recommend the bartender tool as a basic, no-frills option that delivers reliable functionality without the higher price tag.
