This fits on my Brother LB5500 and seems to work okay. One thing I noticed when using this foot is that you cannot backstitch. Probably something with the guide. This should not be an issue if you are piecing for quilts as you don't normally backstitch anyway.

This 1/4 inch seam foot has an oval hole in ther middle which allows you to move your needle 2-3 stitches to the left oro right, depending on how wide you need to make your stitch,. The regular 1/4 inch foot does not allow you to do that
