The TR407 Dremel Sanding Drum Mandrel is used with the Dremel Trio to hold-1/2-Inch sanding band accessories. It includes one 60 grit sanding band. Other sanding bands are sold separately. Shapes wood and sands inside of curves.

Unfortunately, the TR407 was the wrong size. Apparently, there is a #407 which is smaller, which I need. I got the wrong size...bummer.

I had to trade with my friend since they do not fit my dog nail dremel ( Mandrel is too big}

Inspired by my aged and experienced vet, I purchased this item to trim the nails on my two labs.There is a great youtube video by a softspoken woman with her own black lab demonstrating how to acclimate pup to the sound of the dremel, and then how to actually use the tool on the nails.It works like a charm.You will need a dremel tool to use this accessory. They can be found cheap here on Amazon, or at your local yard sale or eBay listing.

As others have mentioned, this is for the Dremel Trio. The diameter of the shaft will not fit in the 1/8" collet of a standard Dremel. Great product though, does what you'd expect.

This product does not fit the 1/8 inch Dremel tool. The shaft is bigger and fits a 'Trio' whatever that is. There is not enough product description to tell the difference, as it is a Dremel product. Don't buy this if you want a 1/2 inch sanding mandrel with a 1/8 inch shaft. That product would be a Dremel 407. I am dissapointed in Amazon for not giving some specs, like shaft size.

I bought this to go on my Dremel Pet Grooming Rotary Kit. I wanted a wider sanding area and this is perfect. I needed the larger mandrel and so my covers in various grit sizes work great. I use this on some of my dogs that have larger nails and I need a wider sanding area. Highly recommend !

This is exactly as was advertised and I am glad I bought it. Actually I bought the wrong thing and when my husband said it was for the Trio I asked him what the trio did that was different than the regualr dremel tool. We found out and I just recently ordered the Dremel Trio for him so he has something to use this accessory on. The price was right all the way around. Would recommend it to friends and family.
