A great product in theory, but far more fragile than it should be. Attaching the arm is easy enough, but lifting the skimmer basket out of the pool with the handle saw the screw strip one of the sides, rendering the handle useless, all within the space of a summer.

My husband is so happy i found this! i was always scared to put my hand in the skimmer basket and it would always fall on him to do it. I was scared for him too but he never listened to me and did not wear gloves. This is a life saver and sooooo convenient ! thanks again for making this fabulous product.

I used this to replace my 5 + year old pool angel. I like the fact that this handle has no upper extention like the pool angel which allows it to be more easily hooked. The reason that it didn't get a 5 star review ... the screws were too small. They needed to be one size larger in diameter to grip the handle when inserted. I used the screws that I removed from my old pool angel and it fits and works perfectly. The hook to lift the basket is very hearty and would work well but for the last couple of years I used a 3 foot piece of 1/2 inch PVC with caps installed on each end and a cup hook screwed into one end. {I'm old and have problems bending over} Again, Other than the wrong sized screws, it is a good product and arrived in a timely mannor.

I had high hope for this thing but every time we pull the handle to lift the basket, there screws slide out of the handle. No matter how much I try to tighten the screws, there is no fixing this. Total waste of money and I was too busy so I missed the return window

The first one I received, one screw was too small and slid right out, so it was a quick replacement. The second one the screws went in securely. I was still nervous, so the first day I pulled it out I double checked that the screws were intact and ensured the screws were completely screwed in. As I was gently lowering it back in, the basket tapped the side of the skimmer, and something about the angle stripped the screw right out and it is currently in the pool pipes. I am hoping it comes out into my filter basket and doesn't do any damage to my pool equipment. This seemed like such a great solution, but not worth the potential cost of damaged equipment. It needs to be engineered with a stronger screw system than just a piece of plastic that you just hope holds the screw.

My basket's handle broke replacements are super expensive, this is a great solution for me. However, the screws' diameter is way too small, they don't hold the handle at all. I tried using 1" #8 screws instead, will see how it goes

This makes getting the basket out easier. Good value, good product. The built in handle that comes with the basket always breaks and this is an easy, cheap, and good solution.

This is a sound concept. Works well if it's made well. Keeps your hands free of debris-ladened skimmer water where spiders, scorpions, snakes and all manner of critters lurk.The problem with this particular product is that the screw holes in the bottom of the long blue stand-offs is too large, so when assembled there is 'slop' present, which will lead to premature failure. That'll send you to the hardware store seeking a solution.So buyer beware..Fasterner is either too small in diameter or hole in upright stanchion has been drilled bigger than ideal.Greg@Watercolors Contracting Co.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to purchase these. They make cleaning the filter basket so much easier. You don’t have to touch the stuff inside either. They were super easy to is install and seem like they will last a long time. You can it see them once they are installed until you lift the skimmer cover so they are not noticeable at all. We have standard skimmer baskets and it fit perfectly.

This is a replacement for one we had, not sure if it is the same brand but it is a simple product and does the job. The only issue was the supplied screws were a tad too small and would not actually tighten. I reused the screws from my broken one and it works just fine.

I do not like sticking my hand into the skimmer basket to remove and empty it. One time my little shark pool thermometer floated into the skimmer and, when I reached into remove it, a tiny mouse was perched on the fin where I couldn't see it and it grabbed my finger! Other times the basket has been full of spiders. But nothing tops the mouse and that traumatized me for reaching in to grab that basket. When I saw this gadget, I immediately put it in my cart. It was delivered today and I secured it to my skimmer basket in just seconds. So easy! No more reaching into the scary creepy skimmer basket for me! I used my pool brush to let the tiny mouse grab on and released it in my yard. Soooo if he somehow ends up in my skimmer basket, this little gadget will give him something to hold onto above the water and I can use the hook thing to get him out!

Should have bought this a long time ago…Good quality and perfect height for my pool skimmer.The handle sticks out of the water so no need right now for the metal hook, but good to have just in case.I used to dread checking the skimmer for fear of what I’d find in there, but now it’s so easy I make it part of my daily routine…takes seconds to pull it up without having to stick my hand into the unknown!Definitely a recommended purchase.
