Dritz paper piecing shapes are reusable, pre-cut shapes made from card stock that is heavy enough to hold its shape, but still flexible enough to be easily removed from fabric. There is no sewing machine required for paper piecing. Fabric is folded over paper piecing shapes and secured with basting stitches; then, pieces are then joined together by whip stitching edges together to form larger shapes. The hole in the middle of the Dritz paper piecing shapes makes it easy to remove them at the end, using a crochet hook, pencil or stiletto. I’m not too new to sewing but I had never tried paper piecing and bought these on a whim. They’re simple to use and can be reused.

Die Schablonen sind aus einem glatten, stabilen Papier. Sie halten einiges aus, habe sie nun bestimmt schon 15-20 (pro Schablone) wiederverwendet. Die Größe ist super, wenn man ein größeres Projekt plant. Ich selbst habe sie für eine Decke gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden

Used these to make hexie flowers for a quilt. They are sturdy enough to get several uses out of them; they don't tear as readily as other brands.

I realize there is not a lot you can say about a tiny product like this, however in English Paper Piecing these little card stock shapes are extremely important. They need to be cut perfectly and all the same size and shape, they must hold there shape after using. These did just that and I will most certainly order them again and again.

I'm working on a flower hexagon table runner. 1st time with paper piecing , theses are about 3 1/2 inches wide. I had 4" scraps and ended up trimming the papers to fit. I've since looked up instructions online, they recommend 1" bigger , so for these 2" besides a needed 4 1/2 " fabric scraps. My fault, just a heads up to newbies . they are working beautifully for my project .

Uniform, and just the right stiffness. The glue sticks well, but they also pop out easily.Perfect. I am ordering more.ETA: I've also ordered the paper pieces by the other company that goes by the name Paper Pieces. I'll stick with Dritz! My only issue with the Dritz brand is that Amazon doesn't seem to currently offer (or I can't find it) the matching size diamonds that go with the 1.5 inch hexagons. I ordered from the other company to get matching diamonds. Not happy with them. I can cut better diamonds from the Hexies. I didn't fully appreciate the Dritz hexies until I had the other company's product to compare them to. Will order Dritz yet again.

These are sturdy enough to use several times in piecing a quilt top by hand. I want my time spent sewing.....not cutting out paper pieces. I like the smooth, even edge to piece each hexagon and I have no 'puckers' thanks to these being card stock. Flimsy, thin paper can result in some puffy hexies. I use tweezers to remove the papers and they are ready for another piece of fabric.

These are turning out to be a great addition to my wife's sewing center. She loves the crisp edges and the way she can quickly turn out patterns. She's turning into a quilting machine with these little diamonds. A really wonderful little gift for your quilting lover.
