This wool pressing mat from Secai is substantially similar to many other mats on the market. What sets it apart is to value proposition.From my examination of the product, I could not find any difference in construction quality relative to the competition, apart from the smaller size.That smaller size is a significant factor when buying, as many of these are way larger. This is is the smallest one I've seen, but it suits my needs, as I am an infrequent user of these mats and my work space is small in itself. They are super handy compared to dragging out a full sized ironing board, but are OK for pressing out small sections. My projects are usually on the small side as well, so that is a factor for it suiting me. If you routinely do full size clothing, I can't see how it would be very useful.

This is a very heavy-duty wool pressing pad. It is a half inch thick and has a firm surface. It is perfect for pressing seams that need to lay completely flat. I think it is an excellent value at $6.99 at time of my order.

Nowhere does it indicate the thickness of this mat. I'm curious why this important information is nowhere to be found prior to purchase. This is important information for buyers. That said, I went ahead and took a chance on getting this mat without knowing its thickness. Now, the mat itself is not flimsy or cheap --- it's small, perfect for small projects. It's a portable, convenient size. For others who are curious, the thickness is half an inch. The mat does as it's intended. Fair enough.

I don’t quilt, but will use this felt while needle felting and sewing. It’s very thick and excellent quality, well worth the price..

I didn't want to bust out a full ironing board to iron smaller portions of fabric so I grabbed this.I can tell you I was really impressed with the quality, thickness, and value. This is a great option for $8. I put a quarter up for reference.Overall, I'd highly recommend this.

Wow, if you need a small wool mat for ironing, this one's for you! I was hesitant about ordering based on the inexpensive price, but I was pleasantly surprised that this wool mat is just as thick as my $50 (larger sized) mat. This one is great beside my sewing machine that has a small space for a mat. Even though it's relatively small, 11.5" x 14.5", it is comfortably large enough to press seams as you are piecing your blocks. I do have 3 sewing stations set up in my quilting studio, because, well, I love my sewing machines and love the 3 I have out for different quilting purposes. And I love having a small iron and mat beside each one. This one is now beside my vintage featherweight that I use for paper piecing. This is a fantastic value for a quality product. If you haven't tried a wool ironing mat yet, try this one. You'll never want to go back to your old ironing board. Well, you would if you had one of these in an ironing board size. I'm waiting to buy one for my big board, you know the board that fits over a standard ironing board but makes it about 3 inches wider and longer all around. I love that board. Would love a wool mat for that even more. Hint, hint, manufacturer, make one of those...you'd have a customer in me.

I received this really quick and I’m so happy to have it. It was thick and durable and nice to not have to get my ironing board out for my small sewing projects. The price was much less than I would have expected
