Got this to replace the mirror on my caddy. First let me say it works just fine but there is some things you should know. The factory mount has this crossbar that the replacement doesn't this isn't a probably but when you put it in, you need to make sure that you line it up carefully and apply EVEN PRESSURE. IF you don't, it will crack. Getting it off the housing is very easy. YouTube had a bunch of videos that show how to do it. I am a real customer and no one asked me to write this.Hope it helps

First off the part ended up being the wrong part. The Part I need is a 4 PIN not a 2 PIN. That was my mistake not checking the part first and relying on Amazon Auto Part Match. The part cracked before assembly anyways when moving it around on the work bench. Cant return since I damaged it. Lesson learned to check the hidden wiring before purchasing.

I installed it in my truck then realized that right where I want to look in the mirror it’s warped and I can’t even look at it without getting a headache it looks like the mirror house that has all the crooked mirrors to make you look different

The reflection is somewhat distorted due to the somewhat weird curvature.It doesn't quite fit the attachment points and perhaps that's why the angle controls no longer work (but is hasn't fallen of either).Other than that the signal light is almost like the original. I haven't been able to test the heating of the mirror because it just doesn't get cold here in Houston often.I'd buy it again because the cost of a real OEM replacement is Ridiculous!
