This drum advertises 30,000 pages. I purchased this in October of 2024 and it was delivered on November 1st. We have not even printed 500 pages and it has stopped printing, it is showing product life at zero and need replacement. I contacted the company through Amazon and they have responded very quickly, went through some troubleshooting with us without success, and then sent a replacement, which we received very quickly (4 days). So far this new replacement is working, but the real test will be if it lasts at least through 10,000.00 pages at a minimum, which will take a while because we don't print massive amounts! I will update after we reach this. However, we are happy with this company's response.

I purchased the Brother Drum kit in December 2024. My printer constantly sent messages that the drum kit was needing attention, the print quality was terrible - darkening the pages and finally this week, it began printing a vertical black ink border all along the right side of the page. After following the directions provided by the Brother tech support team, it started publishing a huge yellow vertical line in the middle of the page. I always use expensive, smooth good quality paper and this was money, money, money out the door.

It is the drum unit for my printer, makes it easy to put in toners. Eventually, it has too much ink on it and needs replacement. However, a drum usually lasts me a couple of years, and I print a lot, so I'm not complaining!

Our company bought this drum in September anticiapting the printer needing it soon. In November the printer signaled needing the drum replaced, so we installed this one and found that it is defective and leave a red stain on each sheet of paper. According to Amazon, apparently it was too late to exchange the bad item. Contacted was made with the seller and a refund was issued.
