This artist is wonderful, and their art reflects their experience. This buckle is well-made, thick, and accepts paint finishes well. I painted mine with acrylic antique gold. It is among my favorite belt buckles and it reminds my christian neighbors they don't own my country or ANY local government without my voting and fighting against them.

As others have pointed out, mine had issues with the hook as well and eventually snapped off.

Beautiful buckle! Honestly wish more buckles had this relief look.However, the belt hook arrived broken. It looks like it’s been pried up and there is a crack in the pewter where the hook connects to the buckle. I’m worried about actually wearing it because I think it will break.

This is a beautiful piece with so much detail, it is exactly as pictured. If I could change anything about it it would be to make it just a little less heavy, but it doesn't cause problems as lone as you use a strong enough material for your belt to attach it to
