This was so easy to install and works amazingly! My dryer was taking two runs to dry and I have a brand new dryer. I bought this set up so I didn’t have a ton of squished vent in the back of the dryer and to hopefully see if my dryer would dry on only one run. Yep, worked! Love it and it pushes to the wall. A lot more room and no more squished vent hose!

I cannot believe dryer hookups are still done the way they are — with that flimsy foil duct work and just two giant metal holes sticking out of a wall and an appliance. While this kit doesn't do away with the age-old principle, it does fix a few annoyances and it does them in a very inexpensive and easy-to-use package.This solved my issue with hose crushing and tearing, and helped improve how dry my clothes get in a normal cycle. There are a few things that could be done better though. The wall-side connection is totally dependent on screwing the port into the wall. The port that goes into the wall duct is smaller than the duct, and the only thing keeping it in is the screws into the wall — and they are wood screws. I'm really surprised the kit did not include drywall anchors and appropriate screws.If your duct does not come out perfectly square and exactly inline with the wall, you may have a bad time. You absolutely have to get the port to screw into something and be flush with the duct. And while the extremely basic pictorial instructions do get the general installation across well enough, they do not really help with any installation issues that might exist outside of what they consider perfect conditions. It came with two forms of sealing tape, but only somewhat explains what one of them does.

After buying the Hardware recommended 4 inch dryer vent hose which when trying to fit over the vent pipe and having it shred beyond repair.Followed by 5 inch vent hose that I couldn’t get a good connection and in the process bent the vent hose all to hell, which would trap lint and make a fire hazard.This system is very easy to install and if you smooth out the vent hose once installed in the connectors, so no where for lint to get hung up and apply sealant tape you should have no issues.One thing I would recommend is another seal for the wall mount connection.I had to install a 1 inch back plate behind the wall connection as I didn’t want to trim the vent pipe.I highly recommend this system, but I’m not a handyman

The twist fit connector parts fit so sloppy that they will not stay together unless you glue them. For this reason it does not seal properly.

I just installed the dryer connection kit, and to be honest, I am not sure that it’s much better than what I had been using. It did afford me the opportunity to clean under the dryer.
